The 12th Gen Core i7 with 16 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD is our main new laptop for demanding professional work. Intel’s hybrid architecture combines performance cores for heavy tasks with efficiency cores for background load, and the Core i7 tier runs at higher clock speeds than the 12th Gen Core i5. Every unit in this configuration is new.

It handles workloads that slow older machines down: compiling large codebases, running containers and local databases, querying and transforming data in Python or SQL, building Power BI models, and working in browser-based engineering or design platforms. Software teams, data and analytics groups, engineering and project offices, finance leads and senior managers who want a laptop that will not hold them back for the year are the typical renters.

As a new configuration, it carries a one-year lock-in, billed monthly. Pricing follows our quantity tiers, so per-unit rent falls as your team grows past each band. We send Dell, HP or Lenovo units depending on stock, and a brand preference can be requested. If a role needs more, add 8 GB RAM or 256 GB SSD at a monthly add-on charge. Each order is billed on a GST invoice with 18% GST over the rent, and dispatch follows online business KYC.

Is the 12th Gen Core i7 16 GB enough for a backend development team?

For most backend and full-stack teams, yes. It runs an IDE, Docker containers, a local database and browser tooling together comfortably. Teams that run several heavy services or VMs at once can add 8 GB RAM per unit at a monthly charge. Each unit is new and on a one-year lock-in.

We are setting up a new office for a year. Should we choose this or the 13th Gen Core i7?

Both are new, carry the same one-year lock-in and have 16 GB RAM with a 512 GB SSD. The 12th Gen covers most development and analytics work at a lower rent. Choose the 13th Gen if users regularly run long builds, large data jobs or heavy exports.

How is the rent calculated?

Each configuration has a monthly rate that falls as quantity rises, in tiers of 1–5, 6–10, 11–25, 26–50, 51–100 and 100–200 units; the price list shows every tier. Rent is billed per monthly cycle from the date of handover. 18% GST is added on top of the listed rent and shown separately on the invoice, along with any add-ons and the delivery charge where it applies.

Can we add more RAM, storage or a bigger monitor?

Yes, subject to stock. On laptops, an extra 8 GB RAM is ₹400 a month and an extra 256 GB SSD is ₹400 a month. On desktops, an extra 8 GB RAM is ₹200 a month, an extra 256 GB SSD is ₹150 a month, and the monitor can be upgraded to 24-inch for ₹200, 27-inch for ₹400 or 32-inch for ₹600 a month. Add-ons are per device, plus 18% GST.
