Terms & Conditions
The agreement between your organisation and us when you use this website or rent laptops, desktops, printers or scanners, written to be read, not skimmed.
1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions apply when you use this website, contact Rentomozo for a quote, or rent a laptop, desktop, printer or barcode scanner from us. By doing any of these, you agree to these terms. Please read them together with our Rental Policy, which sets out the practical rules for deposits, extensions, returns and damage, and our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data.
In these terms, "Rentomozo", "we" and "us" mean the business operating this website; "you" means the person or organisation using the website, and "renter" means the business or organisation that rents from us; and "laptop" means any device we rent, including laptops, desktops and workstations with their monitors, printers and barcode scanners, together with chargers, cables and any accessories supplied with them.
2. Using this website
- We work to keep prices, specifications and availability on this website accurate and current. Prices may change, and the rate in your booking confirmation is the one that applies to your rental.
- Our catalogue is listed by configuration. Windows laptops and desktops are supplied in the listed configuration from Dell, HP or Lenovo, as available, and the brand of a unit is not guaranteed unless confirmed in writing. Product images and illustrations are for reference; the exact unit may differ in colour, keyboard layout or minor details, which we confirm before delivery where they matter to you.
- Delivery windows shown on locality pages are typical estimates, not guarantees.
- You must not misuse the website, including by trying to gain unauthorised access, interfering with its operation, scraping it at a scale that affects its performance, or submitting false information.
- The text, design, graphics and code of this website belong to Rentomozo or its licensors. You may view and share pages for reference, but you may not copy or republish them for commercial purposes without our written permission.
- Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
3. Eligibility
We rent only to businesses and organisations, including companies, startups, LLPs, partnerships, GST-registered proprietors and professionals, and institutions such as training institutes, colleges, hospitals, NGOs and government offices acting as organisations. We do not rent to individuals in a personal capacity. The organisation must complete business KYC, and the person placing the order confirms that they are its authorised signatory or are authorised to act on its behalf.
4. Bookings and how the contract is formed
- A request made through this website, by phone, WhatsApp or email is a request to rent, not a confirmed booking.
- A rental contract is formed when we confirm the booking to you in writing, your KYC has been verified online, and the first month's rent and the refundable deposit have been paid, or invoice terms have been agreed with a verified company. All of this happens before the laptops are dispatched.
- Rentals are on monthly plans only, billed in monthly cycles. Month-to-month configurations have a minimum of one month. New laptops (12th and 13th Gen Core and RTX laptops), MacBook Air M2 and later, most newer MacBook Pro models, the 12th and 14th Gen RTX workstations and the Core i5 office desktop carry a 1-year lock-in, and the HP LaserJet 1020w and TSC label printer carry a 6-month lock-in. Rent is payable for the full lock-in period. The lock-in for each item is shown on the price list and in your quote.
- Longer terms and bulk quantities are priced on request. Requirements shorter than a month are event orders, governed by the separate quote we issue for them.
- Rates fall as quantity rises, in tiers of 1–5, 6–10, 11–25, 26–50, 51–100 and 100–200 units. 18% GST is charged on top of the listed rent and other charges.
- Delivery is free in Noida. Elsewhere in Delhi NCR a distance-based delivery charge applies, confirmed with the order. Outside Delhi NCR, devices typically arrive in 3–4 days and a shipping charge applies, confirmed with the order. The applicable charge is confirmed on the call, and we collect the devices at the end of the term.
- Optional add-ons, such as extra RAM or SSD storage on laptops and desktops and larger monitors on desktops, are billed monthly at the rates on the price list and in the Rental Policy. Printers are delivered with one ink or toner fill; later consumables are the renter's responsibility.
- Once an order is placed, cancelling it or refusing delivery without a fault on our side attracts a penalty of one month's rent for the order.
- We may decline a request or cancel a booking before handover, for example if documents cannot be verified, information is found to be incorrect, or the laptop becomes unavailable. In that case, any amount you paid is refunded in full.
5. Ownership of the laptop
The laptop remains the property of Rentomozo at all times. Renting it gives the renting organisation the right to use it for the agreed rental term only. You must not sell, pledge, mortgage, sub-rent or otherwise deal with the laptop as if it were yours, and you must not allow any lien or claim to arise over it. If anyone tries to seize or claim the laptop, you must tell them it belongs to us and inform us immediately.
6. Rent, deposit and payment
Rent, quantity tiers, lock-in periods, GST, add-ons, delivery charges, the refundable security deposit, payment timing, extensions, early and late returns, damage charges and cancellation are governed by our Rental Policy and your booking confirmation. The first month's rent and the refundable deposit are paid before dispatch, by UPI, card, net banking or bank transfer, unless a verified company has agreed invoice terms in writing. Amounts you owe under the rental, including unpaid rent and damage charges, may be adjusted against the deposit. If the deposit does not cover them, the balance is payable by you.
7. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate, complete information and genuine documents, and tell us promptly if your phone number, email or address changes during the rental.
- Take reasonable care of the laptop from handover until it is collected, and use it only for lawful purposes.
- Do not open, repair, modify or have the laptop repaired by anyone else, and do not remove labels, serial numbers or asset tags.
- Install and use only software you are licensed to use. You are responsible for complying with the licence terms of any software, subscription or service you use on the laptop.
- Do not use the laptop for any activity that breaks the law, including offences under the Information Technology Act, 2000, infringing copyright, or accessing systems without authorisation.
- Make the laptop available for pickup at the end of the rental, along with everything supplied with it.
8. Our responsibilities
- Supply a laptop that has been cleaned, factory-reset and tested, in working condition, matching the model and configuration confirmed in your booking or a comparable one you have agreed to.
- Replace a laptop that fails during the rental, where the failure was not caused by damage or misuse, within 24 hours in Delhi NCR, or by shipping a replacement in 3–4 days outside Delhi NCR.
- Refund the deposit, less any deductions explained to you, after the laptop is returned and checked.
- Handle your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Your data on the laptop
You are responsible for the files, accounts and information you store on the laptop. Please keep your own backups and sign out of all accounts before return. Every returned laptop is factory-reset, and we cannot recover data after that. We are not responsible for loss of data stored on a rented laptop, whether caused by a fault, a replacement, the reset, or anything else.
10. Ending a rental early
You can end a rental early as described in the Rental Policy. We may end a rental before its end date and collect the laptop, after giving you notice by phone, WhatsApp or email, if:
- rent or other amounts due remain unpaid after a reminder;
- the documents or information you gave us turn out to be false or misleading;
- the laptop is being misused, used unlawfully, or put at serious risk; or
- you break these terms or the Rental Policy in a way that is not put right after we have told you about it.
If the laptop is not returned when the rental ends, we may use lawful means to recover it, including filing a police complaint and starting civil proceedings, and recover the costs reasonably incurred in doing so.
11. Limitation of liability
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of data, loss of business, loss of profit, or missed deadlines, arising from the use of or inability to use a rented laptop.
- Our total liability for any claim relating to a rental is limited to the rent you paid for that rental.
- Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to compensate Rentomozo for losses, claims and reasonable costs, including legal costs, that arise because you used the laptop unlawfully, broke these terms, or provided false information or documents.
13. Events beyond our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, severe weather, floods, pandemics, government orders, strikes, road closures or failures of telecom and power networks. If such an event affects your booking, we will tell you as soon as we can and agree a new delivery time, a comparable alternative, or a refund for any service not provided.
14. Communications
By booking with us, you agree that we may contact you by phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email about your booking, delivery, payments, extensions and returns. We send promotional messages only if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the current version is always on this page. A confirmed booking continues under the terms in force when it was confirmed, unless a change is required by law.
16. General
- These terms, the Rental Policy, the Privacy Policy and your booking confirmation together form the agreement between you and us. If a written agreement signed with a business customer conflicts with them, the signed agreement prevails.
- If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- If we do not enforce a right immediately, we have not given it up.
- You may not transfer your rights or obligations under a rental to anyone else without our written consent.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms and every rental are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute arises, please contact us first; most issues can be settled quickly by talking them through. If a dispute cannot be resolved that way, the courts at the city where Rentomozo's registered office is located, as shown on our contact page, have exclusive jurisdiction.
18. Contact
For questions about these terms, call or WhatsApp +91 98215 55658, 9 AM – 9 PM, all 7 days, or write to us through the contact page.
