The 16 GB MacBook Pro 13.3-inch M1 is the value development Mac in the catalogue: an Apple M1 chip, 16 GB unified memory, a 256 GB SSD and a 13.3-inch display, rented month to month with a one-month minimum.
Double the memory of the 8 GB model changes what the laptop can do in a working day. iOS developers can keep Xcode, the Simulator and a browser open together; web developers can run a local stack with a couple of containers; UI designers can work in Figma with several large files; data analysts can keep notebooks, BI tools and spreadsheets open side by side. For agencies and startups staffing a project for a few months, that combination of capability and no lock-in is the main appeal.
The 256 GB SSD is the trade-off. Teams working from Git and cloud drives will be fine; anyone handling video, large photo libraries or big local datasets should take the 14-inch M1 with 512 GB or a newer Pro.
Rates fall in tiers as your order grows, and business KYC is completed online before dispatch. Your IT team takes care of MDM enrolment and Apple IDs. At the end of the term we collect the laptops and factory-reset each one.
For most app projects, yes. It runs Xcode, the iOS Simulator and supporting tools comfortably. Very large codebases with long build times benefit from a Pro-series chip such as the M1 Pro or M3 Pro. Keep an eye on the 256 GB SSD, since Xcode, simulators and derived data use a lot of space.
Yes. This model is month to month with a one-month minimum, so a three-month term works, and you can return units as the project winds down. Rates drop as quantity rises. Remember that cancelling after the order is placed costs one month's rent, so confirm the start date before ordering.

Rent is billed per monthly cycle from the date of handover. 18% GST is added on top of the listed rent and shown separately on the invoice, along with any add-ons and the delivery charge where it applies.
A 1-year lock-in applies to new laptops (12th and 13th Gen Core and the RTX laptops), MacBook Air M2 and later, most newer MacBook Pro models, the 12th and 14th Gen RTX workstations and the Core i5 desktop. The HP LaserJet 1020w and the TSC label printer carry a 6-month lock-in. Rent is payable for the full lock-in even if a device comes back early. Everything else runs month to month.
