The 8th Gen Core i5 is the point where an older business laptop starts to feel like a current one. Intel moved its mainstream laptop chips from two cores to four with this generation, and the gain shows wherever people multitask: a large Excel workbook, a browser full of SaaS tools, a video call and chat all open together.
That makes it our default suggestion for everyday office use on a sensible budget. Finance and accounts teams, inside and field sales, HR and recruitment, operations and procurement staff all fit it well. It also works for developers on light stacks, such as front-end work, scripting or testing, where a code editor, a local server and a browser are the main tools.
There is no lock-in: the 8th Gen Core i5 is month to month with a one-month minimum, which suits project teams and offices still settling their headcount. Larger orders move into lower quantity tiers, so rates fall per unit as you scale. Units come from Dell, HP or Lenovo depending on stock, and a brand preference can be requested. Add 8 GB RAM or 256 GB SSD at a monthly add-on charge where a role needs it. Billing is on a GST invoice with 18% GST over the rent, after business KYC online.
The 8th Gen doubled the core count in mainstream business laptops, from two to four. For one application at a time the difference is small, but with Excel, a browser, video calls and chat open together, the 8th Gen stays noticeably smoother. The extra rent is modest for that gain.
For front-end work, scripting, testing and browser-based tools, 8 GB is workable. If the developer runs Docker, a local database or an Android emulator, add 8 GB RAM for a monthly charge, or consider the Core i7 11th Gen with 16 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD.
Each configuration has a monthly rate that falls as quantity rises, in tiers of 1–5, 6–10, 11–25, 26–50, 51–100 and 100–200 units; the price list shows every tier. Rent is billed per monthly cycle from the date of handover. 18% GST is added on top of the listed rent and shown separately on the invoice, along with any add-ons and the delivery charge where it applies.
Yes, subject to stock. On laptops, an extra 8 GB RAM is ₹400 a month and an extra 256 GB SSD is ₹400 a month. On desktops, an extra 8 GB RAM is ₹200 a month, an extra 256 GB SSD is ₹150 a month, and the monitor can be upgraded to 24-inch for ₹200, 27-inch for ₹400 or 32-inch for ₹600 a month. Add-ons are per device, plus 18% GST.
